the lettuce

okay, this is the second day in a row that i have been asked about the lettuce on my blog
rather the second day in a row that someone has um ... complained about it

is it really that awful to look at?

Norm said it was creepy and reminded him of the following movies.......
"The Blob" and  "It came from outer space"

so, the lettuce pictured is the first salad made from our garden last year
it was delicious and when I see the picture, i salivate

i am considering changing the photo.... but only after I heard Darlene didn't like it ...we can't have Norm thinking otherwise :-)

so, as soon as i have the 3rd complaint (legitimate) I will start looking for a new pic

new perennial

Wow - i bought this  flower on Friday for my Mom's garden.
If you click on the first picture you will see the soft down more clearly

I was fascinated with how my pictures turned out - each picture captured the beauty in a different way.  As soon as I remember the name of this perennial I will post a comment ...unless someone else beats me to it.  Enjoy !

maintenace

if it were up to me, i wouldn't have any grass at all
the grass pictured here is at my family's home nearby
they have recently had the grass aerated

Spring growth

These flowers are in the backyard of one of my homes
It is always so amazing to see how quickly everything grows on a daily basis
