new perennial





Wow - i bought this  flower on Friday for my Mom's garden.
If you click on the first picture you will see the soft down more clearly 

I was fascinated with how my pictures turned out - each picture captured the beauty in a different way.  As soon as I remember the name of this perennial I will post a comment ...unless someone else beats me to it.  Enjoy !

Strawberries





As promised...... a few pictures (taken today) of the strawberries planted in our garden last fall.

now that the weather is warmer i will once again be able to start my day(s) outside looking up towards the universe
i try to begin each day with gentle stretching incorporating yoga/pilates/ballet moves 
of course my dog loves the extra time spent outdoors too

Weather



What a beautiful day!  It was like summer with temperatures reaching 26 and feeling like 30 by early evening....  an amazing downpour of rain showers set in with a little thunder and lightning for effect

i've got the patio doors open as i journal ... the gentle sound of the rain falling is so peaceful and soothing...  makes me think of Vancouver

raised garden bed #1


yesterday Sharon dug in and planted some lettuce and spinach in one of our raised garden beds - way to work it Sharon!   now for the sun and rain and we'll soon be munching on our own lettuce
